On the Run at the 2014 NYC Half Marathon recaps the professional finish. Reigning New York City Marathon champion Geoffrey Mutai of Kenya added an NYC Half win to his list of victories, which also includes the 2011 marathon title. Olympic silver medalist Sally Kipyego, also of Kenya, set a fast pace and broke the finish line tape in 1:08:31 to claim the course record. Josh George of the United States made history as the first NYC Half pro wheeler champion, pushing to victory in 50:37 despite windy conditions; Canadian Diane Roy took the women’s top spot in 59:25.
