Allie Kieffer Withdraws from NYC Half and London MarathonBy Adam Kopet Allie Kieffer will not be racing this spring according to a recent post she made on Instagram. Injury has forced her to withdraw from Sunday's United Airlines NYC Half and next month's Virgin Money London Marathon.
After a breakout race at the 2017 TCS New York City Marathon where she finished fifth in 2:29:39, Kieffer set personal bests at distances ranging from 5K up to the marathon in 2018. She won the 2018 Doha Half Marathon in a personal best 1:10:40. She also ran 2:28:12 for seventh place at the 2018 New York City Marathon, another personal best. Kieffer will also miss the Around the Bay 30K Road Race in Hamilton, Ontario on March 31. More news |
